Michelle Michels LL.M. joined the Institute of Private Law as PhD fellow on 1 December 2018.

Michelle Michels studied Law at Leiden University (2013-2017) and obtained her bachelor’s degrees in Notarial Law and Tax Law in 2017. She obtained a master’s degree in Notarial Law in 2018 (LL.M. cum laude). As a student, she gained practical experience at a law firm and worked as a Research & Development Associate within the legal department of a business organisation focusing on cosmetics and home care products for three years.

Michelle Michels joined the Department of Notarial Law (Institute of Private Law) as PhD candidate and lecturer on 1 December 2018. She is currently working on a thesis about the implications of multi-parenting for the position of the child in inheritance law.
