My current research effort is focused on the role of inflammation in tuberculosis, a bacterial infectious disease that constitutes a worldwide health threat. I use cell culture systems and zebrafish to dive deeply into the biology of highly interactive pathways involved in proinflammatory signaling.
Research
My research work seeks to establish inducible signals that might drive inflammasomes- and autophagy- subtype-specific responses and their consequences for marshalling immunity to infection.
