Mw. Samosir is an Indonesian PhD researcher at the Institute of Public Administration. Her project focuses on fraud and corruption in the Indonesian public sector. She is being supervised by Prof. dr. Frits van der Meer and Dr. Toon Kerkhoff.

Prior to her current position, Nelly Samosir was a lecturer of Accounting at the Economic and Business Faculty of Tanjungpura University, West Kalimantan Indonesia. She also worked for external organizations, such as the World Bank Project, and the American Corner.
