Dirk-Jan van den Berg is technician at the at the Division of Pharmacology. He is specialized in High Pressure Liquid Chromatography.
Dirk-Jan van den Berg is currently involved in the use of LC/MS for the quantitative measurement of drug concentrations in biological samples. The HPLC systems which are in our laboratory are under his supervision. Dirk-Jan started using Chromatography in 1991. Since then, he has used several detection methods like fluorescence and electrochemical detection with conventional as well micro column HPLC. He was also involved in the use and development of online Solid Phase Extraction which now is used as a sample preparation step for LC/MS.
