Medical Systems Biophysics and Bioengineering
The ambition of the Medical Systems Biophysics and Bioengineering group led by Alireza Mashaghi is to develop and use physics and engineering concepts and tools for pathophysiology, diagnostics and therapy.
We are a highly interdisciplinary group with clinicians, pharmacists, biologists, physicists, chemists and engineers. By combining experiments with theory and computation we are developing three research lines:
- Single-molecule biophysics and molecular topology
- Medical systems biophysics and pharmacophysics
- Disease models-on-chips and immunoengineering
