Science Based Business

MSc. Specialisation

The Business Studies specialisation is for science students who consider employment opportunities in industry, and who are looking to acquire knowledge of business principles and training in managerial skills. The specialisation can be followed by students doing a two-year Masters degree in one of the Natural Sciences, including Mathematics and Biomedical Sciences.

Master programmes

To do the Specialisation Business Studies one has to enroll into one of the corresponding master programmes, e.g. Biology and Business Studies, Chemistry and Business Studies, etc. For more information, please consult the Master's information page:

Courses

Completing the specialisation requires 40-60 EC of business courses. All courses can also be followed as electives.

The specialisation consists of minimally the following components:

  • Strategy and Technology
  • Marketing Science
  • Strategic Financial Management
  • Operations Management
  • Research Methods
  • Business Internship

If you wish to include the Business Studies Specialisation in your Master programme please select the specialisation in Studielink or inform your main program coordinator about your startdate.
