Jean-Pierre van der Rest receives a 2019 Outstanding Reviewer Award
Professor Jean-Pierre van der Rest has received a 2019 Outstanding Reviewer Award from Cornell Hospitality Quarterly.

Van der Rest, one of three nominees, was praised for his critical reviews of articles submitted to this prominent scholarly journal from Cornell University. In the words of the editor-in-chief: “The analyses and insights of Ming, Nancy and Jean-Pierre, and many others, have been extremely useful in my decision making. I feel blessed to work with such wonderful academics – you all make my work a lot easier!”
Outstanding Reviewer Award
Each year this Outstanding Reviewer Award recognises three academics who have provided the most constructive, helpful and expert peer reviews. The Cornell Hospitality Quarterly is a double-blind, peer-reviewed scholarly journal, established in 1960. Published by Sage Publications in collaboration with Cornell University School of Hotel Administration (SC Johnson College of Business), it currently has a 5-year SSCI impact factor of 3.833, an acceptance rate of 13%, and is a highly regarded scholarly journal in the field of hospitality, sport and tourism (21/56), management (96/226), and sociology (15/150). In 2019 the journal had 178,383 downloads and a circulation of 10,590.
