Winnie Gebhardt receives Honorary Fellowship
Health psychologist Winnie Gebhardt has been appointed as Honorary Fellow of the European Health Psychology Society (EHPS) in recognition of her exceptional contribution to the EHPS and the field of health psychology.
Winnie Gebhardt received the EHPS Honorary Fellowship Award at the European Health Psychology Conference in Galway. It is the prestigious EHPS award awarded in recognition of an exceptional contribution to the field of health psychology.
About Winnie
Gebhardt works as an associate professor at the Health, Medical and Neuropsychology department. The award is specially granted for her research in the field of health behavioral theories and interventions. She has published extensively on the influence of interaction between health and other valuable goals that people strive for. Recently she also focuses on identity processes that take place during behavioral change.
Gebhardt has been an active member of the EHPS since 1992. She was a member and National Delegates Officer of the EHPS executive committee of 2006-2008. Together with Efrat Neter, she chaired the EHPS task force for European Masters programs in Health Psychology of 2012-2013. Gebhardt was an Associate Editor of the renowned professional journal Psychology and Health from 2013-2016, and also Associate Editor of the International Journal of Behavioral Medicine from 2011-2015.
