Ruben de Graaff and Dorine Verheij give a lecture in Antwerp
At the conference ‘Law-Making in Multilevel Settings: Federalism, Europe and Beyond’, Ruben de Graaff and Dorine Verheij provided a lecture on the topic of ‘EU Regulations and the Spirit of Codification’.
They paid attention to the increasing number of EU regulations containing provisions of a private law nature. They also explained how this development influences the accessibility and consistency of the body of private law and suggested how legislatures, courts and academics can deal with this development. The conference was organized by the International Association of Legislation, together with the University of Antwerp.
