
Corinne Hofman honored during the final Dean's Lecture
Corinne Hofman’s term as Dean of the Faculty of Archaeology has finished. After 11 years she leaves the Faculty Board to fully focus on her research once again. On Thursday September 20th, during the final Dean's Lecture, a series she initiated, she was lauded by her successor, Dean Jan Kolen, Study Association Terra, and Leiden University's Rector Magnificus Carel Stolker.

Rector Magnificus Carel Stolker gave Corinne Hofman the traditional bronze sculpture symbolising her years as Dean. -

Carel Stolker saluted Corinne Hofman for her modesty and her associative mind, which he experienced as refreshing in their many meetings. -
Joris Geboers, Chair of Study Association Terra, thanked Corinne for her loyalty to the study association, attending many student events herself. -
The evening's pièce de résistance was eminent Professor Philippe Descola's lecture about the ontology of imagery. -
Staff and students alike attended the Dean's Lecture and saluted Corinne Hofman. -
The evening ended with festive drinks and appetizers.
