EU-FP7 project IDREEM featured on Euronews TV
IDREEM (Increasing Industrial Resource Efficiency in European Mariculture) is a European research project launched in 2012 to protect the long-term sustainability of European aquaculture. This project has recently been featured on Euronews TV
The project tries to protect the long-term sustainabilty of European aquaculture by developing and demonstrating a new innovative production technology, Integrated Multi-Trophic Aquaculture (IMTA).
IDREEM partners Angelica Mendoza Beltran and Jeroen Guinée from the department of Industrial Ecology at Leiden University’s Institute of Environmental Sciences (CML), contribute to IDREEM by assessing the environmental sustainability of IMTA from a Life Cycle perspective.
