Dr. Beerkens gives keynote speech at the INQAAHE Forum in Fiji
On 23 – 25 May, representatives of the higher education quality assurance agencies from all over the world gathered in Fiji to discuss issues faced by the agencies in the challenging times.
The keynote focused on different demands that societal stakeholders set on higher education and explored the potential for ‘stakeholder engagement’ in shaping an effective quality assurance system. The International Network of Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE) includes more than 250 national, regional and private agencies. It plays an important role in sharing knowledge and fostering collaboration between its member, and it is thereby a good example of a transnational network as a key actor in contemporary global governance.
