Jessica Roitman accepted for the prestigious Huntington-Clark Summer Institute.
Jessica Roitman, lecturer in the Economic and Social History section, was one of 12 scholars chosen to attend the prestigious and highly competitive Huntington-Clark Summer Institute in Early Modern Studies. All participants receive a stipend and will spend three weeks in July in residence at the Huntington Library in San Marino, California. There they will engage with other scholars and also conduct their own research using the Library’s collections. This year’s Institute will focus on the study of “The Global Early Modern Caribbean.” The Institute is a collaborative project involving the Huntington Library, the University of California at Los Angeles’ Clark Library, and the University of Southern California’s Early Modern Studies Institute.
