Education
Members of LUXs teach courses in statistics and data science at Leiden University, Leiden University Medical Center and Leiden University College, for students of many backgrounds. They cooperate in offering wide-ranging master programs in Statistical Science and Data Science, and provide many opportunities for PhD research.
Master of Statistical Science
The master Statistical Science has two specialisations, one in the Life and Behavioral Sciences, and one in Data Science. The master is organised in cooperation with researchers of Biometris at Wageningen University.
PhD programme
PhD students in Leiden typically follow a personalized programme, in close cooperation with a supervisor, and hold a paid job at the university for four years. There are usually vacancies on externally funded research projects. There may also be positions funded by one of the participating institutes. If you are interested, the best strategy is to contact a professor who is specialised in your field of interest. You need strong qualifications.
