Vacancy: Student Assistant BAIS Instagram Account and Community Building (apply before 18 June)
Are you a social media whiz with a passion for building communities? We’re looking for a student assistant in social media and community building to manage the International Studies Instagram account and help us build a strong community of students and staff!
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and publishing content on the International Studies Instagram account (ba.international.studies) that engages with current students, staff members and even, to a lesser extent, prospective students and alumni. You’ll work closely with the International Studies team to develop this content.
While managing the Instagram account is important, you will also engage in other community building activities, such as assisting in organising events with the International Studies community builder and engaging in event reporting for university news outlets.
Responsibilities
- Create and publish fun and engaging content on the International Studies Instagram account.
- Engage with students and staff on Instagram to build a strong community.
- Monitor and report on the performance of the Instagram account.
- Help organise and promote a wide yearly programme of events, take photos at specific events and report on them for the bachelor’s Instagram and website.
- Collaborate with the Instagram accounts of the Faculty of Humanities, Campus The Hague and the general University account.
- Create and keep up a content calendar.
Requirements
- Preferably a second-year student of International Studies (starting year 2 in 2023)
- Strong knowledge of Instagram
- Excellent communication skills
- Affinity with photography
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Creative and organised mindset
We are offering an interesting and varied position, which provides an excellent addition to your study. We offer a temporary position for one year, with the possibility of renewal. Salary according to scale Student Assistant of the CAO of Dutch Universities: 7.6 hrs per week, which is 0,2 FTE.
