Awarding Propedeuse diplomas: 22 October 2021

On 22 October we will award the First year diplomas to those second year students who passed all their courses during the first year of their studies, and thus received the 60 curricular credits within one year.

In Dutch this so-called Propedeusediploma is traditionally considered an important diploma, as it is a good indicator of the chances a student has at finishing the programme. If you get your Propedeusediploma, it means that if circumstances do not change, you have a very good chance of graduating within a reasonable time. No guarantees of course, but it is still a significant moment.

We are well-aware that for students who are not used to the Dutch system, the whole idea of a First year diploma is probably new and may seem weird. However, we still think it is important enough to award these diplomas in person, in an informal manner (we will save the formal ceremony for your graduation). Those of you who will be awarded a diploma, will receive a separate message from our administration telling you when and where this will take place. If you are unable to come and pick it up at this particular moment, our administration will contact you afterwards about where and when to pick your diploma.
