Research Protocol
This is the research protocol that the team is using in the field, for pre-fieldwork and for fieldwork.
Team Activities September - December 2020
‘Taking stock’ from fieldwork, field experiences and collected materials were discussed in the light of the research questions of the project. The team checked that the deliverables stated in the research protocol had been gathered (for example: Interviews and focus groups, signed informed consents) and how they synergize together. Unexpected outcomes and hurdles were discussed and dissertation trajectories were planned.
Post-fieldwork and writing up
This is a descriptive calendar of the activities of the Food Citizens? team after fieldwork, from September 2020 until February 2022. Returning to Leiden after 15 months ethnographic research in the cities of Gdańsk, Rotterdam and Turin, this post-fieldwork period included intensive ‘taking stock’ and writing up sessions, workshops and seminars with scholars and stakeholders as well as inventorying visual materials and preparing publications through a comparative lens and a collaborative process. The main collective outcomes of this writing up stage were the Food Citizens? i-doc, the Food Citizens? conference and the Winter School Audiovisual Engagements in Anthropological Research.
