About the presenters
Brian Shaev is University Lecturer in history and European Union Studies. He works on the history of political parties and European public policy and is finishing a monograph titled Transnational Socialism and European Integration: The Socialist Group in the early European Parliament (Routledge)
Sigfrido M. Ramírez Pérez is Associated Researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Legal History and Legal Theory in Frankfurt, Scientific Collaborator of Mondes Modernes et Contemporains (MMC) Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) and Guest Lecturer at the Institute of European Studies Paris 8-Saint Denis. He works on the economic and social history of EU law with particular attention to the role of business and trade unions. He is currently co-editing a book on the history of the Left and European Unity since World War I (Routledge).
