Ethically responsible (empirical) research

Organised in collaboration with the Open Science Community Leiden (with thanks to Olga Ceran), this event aims to bring together two communities that often face similar challenges and questions in research. This time we will explore in a relaxed setting what it means to do ethically responsible (empirical) research. We are glad of the presence of Hannah DeLacey, who will offer her expert insights into our discussions as a member of the Ethics and Data Committee. Key discussion topics include: How do we responsibly involve participants and society in our research?; What is the purpose of a data management plan and ethical approval in (empirical) research? How can we balance openness and responsibility when presenting our findings? You are encouraged to bring in your questions and doubts and share your best practices on how you navigate these or similar questions.

You can sign up for the session here.
