Abstract
The interpretation of the Anatolian material for the reconstruction of the 1pl. and 2pl. personal pronouns has been debated. In this talk I will discuss the attestations of these pronouns in the Anatolian languages, with an emphasis on Cuneiform Luwian and Hieroglyphic Luwian. I will use them for a bottom-up-reconstruction of the Proto-Anatolian paradigms of the 1pl. and 2pl. personal pronouns, and compare these to the information that we have from the other Indo-European languages. It will be argued that Anatolian provides some crucial new insigths into the Proto-Indo-European state of affairs.
