This LED3 lecture is going to a special one. We have Prof. Dr. Dario Neri from the ETH Zurich visiting and if anyone embodies the spirit of LED3 it is him. Not only has his work covered everything from small to very large molecules, he has also managed to take concepts developed in academia into clinical trial through his company Philogen that focuses on the commercialization of various novel antibody products.
For this work he was awarded the ISOBM Abbott Prize 2000, the Amgen-Dompe’ Biotec Award 2000, the Mangia d’Oro 2001, the Prous Award 2006 of the European Federation of Medicinal Chemistry, the Robert-Wenner-Prize 2007 of the Swiss Cancer League, the SWISS BRIDGE Award 2008, the Prix Mentzer of the French Medicinal Chemistry Society in 2011, the Phoenix Prize 2014 and an ERC Advanced Grant in 2015.
His talk here will cover his work targeting tumors using antibody therapeutics, as well as his work focussing on DNA-encoded libraries of small molecule therapeutics.
