Programme structure
The specialisation enables you to understand the fundamentals of management and entrepreneurship alongside high quality mathematical research.
Programme outline
The compulsory Mathematics component of this specialisation comprises a research project of 40 EC in one of the research groups of the Leiden Mathematical Institute, including a master's thesis and an oral presentation and 20 EC of courses to be selected in correspondence with the research topic. The Business Studies component comprises at least 40 EC. Within this you will follow the management track:
- The Management track is for students who consider employment opportunities in industry, and who are looking to acquire knowledge of business principles and training in managerial skills. The track provides an introduction to general management theory and practice.

The Mathematics master offers you a lot of options to create your own programme. There is also the possibility to follow an internship abroad at another university or company or to follow courses abroad.
