Education and Child Studies (research) (MSC)
Career prospects
When graduating from our programme, you will be a starting researcher who can bridge the gap between research and practice. You will be prepared for a PhD position.
In addition, you will be eligible for functions in the public or private sector in which advanced research skills and substantial practical research experience are among the qualifications required (jobs at research agencies or research departments in businesses or governmental organisations, or positions as scientist-practitioner in youth care or education). Of course, combinations of research, teaching, and (clinical) practice are also possible.
Note that, to work in the (clinical) field in the Netherlands, you will need a Dutch professional registration as Basis Pedagoog, or Basis Orthopedagoog (NVO). For students who are proficient in Dutch and have passed the required bachelor courses, the Research Master programme can contribute to obtaining that registration (for more information, please contact Jacquy Bouwer).
