Alumna Paula Kovač
Why did you choose Global Ethnography at Leiden University?

''I chose the Global Ethnography specialisation because I had already been part of the CADS Bachelor’s program and absolutely loved it. Continuing with anthropology felt like a natural step, and I knew that Leiden University would provide the perfect platform to conduct fully independent research—something I was incredibly passionate about. It was challenging, yes, but isn’t that where the magic happens? I was drawn to the stories of alumni who described it as rigorous yet rewarding, preparing them for the realities of research in ways no shortcuts could achieve. It was a place to explore, to push boundaries, and to fall in love with anthropology all over again.''
