Connect theory and practice of teaching through the application of your academic knowledge about computer science to issues of classroom practice.
Programme outline
The entire MSc programme in combination with the Education specialisation consists of two components:
- Computer Science component (60 – 90 EC)
- Education component (60 EC)
The Computer Science and Education programme consists of a research project in Computer Science of 30 EC (incl. 7 EC for the thesis and an oral presentation) in one of the research groups of LIACS and at least 30 EC courses to be selected in correspondence with the research topic. The Education component of the specialisation is offered by the Leiden Graduate School of Education (ICLON) and includes courses on didactics and adolescent psychology and an educational research project and school practice. In addition, you can also participate in the World Teachers Programme to prepare for international teaching.
