Master's application and admission

Find out how to apply for Drug Discovery and Safety at Leiden University by following our step-by-step guide.

The research specialisations are considered to be default specialisations. Hence, students will only be admitted to the master on a research specialisation. Students opting for a non-research specialisation will be admitted after the successful completion of their first year of the master programme.

Every master student of Bio-Pharmaceutical Sciences has to start with a Research Project of 9 months (RP1) within the LACDR (our research institute). On the website of the LACDR you can find information on the various research programmes that are offered by our research divisions.
