Programme outline
The entire MSc programme in combination with the Education specialisation consists of two components:
- BPS component ( 60 EC)
- Education component (60 EC)
The BPS component consists of the Introduction Course Bio-Pharmaceutical Sciences in the specialisation corresponding to the LACDR cluster at which Research Project 1 is performed (6 EC), a research project of 47 EC in one of the research groups of the LACDR, one of the lecture series (4 EC), the course Advanced academic skills and career orientation (3 EC). Optional in case of completion of the Minor Education: extension of the BPS research subprogramme by attending additional lecture series of BPS or other courses in life sciences or medicine (0—30 EC).
The Education component of the specialisation is offered by the Leiden Graduate School of Education (ICLON) and includes courses on didactics and adolescent psychology and an educational research project and school practice. In addition, you can also participate in the World Teachers Programme to prepare for bilingual and international teaching.
