The specialisation enables you to understand the fundamentals of management and entrepreneurship alongside high quality astronomical research at a world class institute.
Programme outline
The Astronomy component of the Astronomy and Science Based Business specialisation contains a Master’s Research Project in one of the research groups of the Leiden Observatory, concluded by a Master's thesis and an oral presentation, as well as a selection of Astronomy and non-Astronomy courses. Within the business component you will follow the management track:
- The Management track is for students who consider employment opportunities in industry, and who are looking to acquire knowledge of business principles and training in managerial skills. The track provides an introduction to general management theory and practice.
