Medicine (BSc)
If you want to train as a junior doctor, you can take the Dutch-language bachelor’s degree and master’s degree programmes in Medicine at Leiden University. You learn everything about the functioning of the healthy and sick human body, from molecule to nervous system. The bachelor’s degree programme is taught at the Leiden University Medical Centre. This means that education, research and patient care are closely linked. Physicians and researchers of the LUMC inform you of the developments in (bio)medical science. You quickly learn the subject matter and acquire the skills as a result of small-scale education in working groups with many interim tests. After completing the bachelor’s degree programme you are capable, caring and curious and you can proceed to the master’s degree programme in Medicine. In your internships you will increasingly deal with patient problems. Is this your thing? Please read on in Dutch.
