Network science for a connected world
In a world increasingly shaped by networks — from social media and financial systems to biological and technological infrastructures — understanding network structures and their dynamics is crucial.
This minor explores the fundamental principles governing
these complex systems and equips students with the skills to analyze and apply network science across disciplines. This minor is an initiative of the Leiden Complex Networks Network (LCN2), a collaboration between the faculties of Science (MI, LIACS, LION) and Social Sciences (CWTS). It is designed to be accessible to students from diverse backgrounds, including those from the humanities, social sciences, and life sciences, while maintaining a rigorous quantitative approach.
