Cooperation

Leiden University has signed a substantial number of Memoranda of Understanding with institutions in Latin America and the Caribbean Region.

Moreover, many student exchange agreements have also been signed with the objective to stimulate bilateral student exchange. These agreements are required at Bachelor and Master level. For PhD’s no agreement is needed, except in cases of cotutelle which requires specific agreements for each case between the hosting universities.

This map shows the Latin American and Caribbean partners with which Leiden University has signed general Memoranda of Understanding. The map only shows partners with which formal agreements have been signed. Over the years, Leiden University has developed many other important relationships with LAC partners.
