Lil'Scientist
Children are little scientists by nature. The best way to introduce them to science is to put them to work and let them do actual scientific research.
Children are little scientists: they are born with intrinsic curiosity, forming hypotheses about how the world works, gathering information and coming up with new insights. Yet many children think science is not for them. This is especially true for children who grow up in environments where they rarely encounter science and are barely reached by existing forms of science communication.
Lil'Scientist engages children in science through citizen science. New experiments are developed in cocreation with children from the IMC Weekend School. Through these experiments children learn about science in a fun, interactive and accessible way and participate in real scientific research. The data collected by the children are then analyzed and published with scientists.
