2025 Summer School in Digital Palaeography
The Institute for Digital Humanities at the University of Göttingen invites applications for its 4th annual Summer School in Digital Palaeography. Participants will engage in library-based sessions, analyzing manuscripts of personal scholarly interest, gain insight into historical scripts to better understand ancient writing techniques, and explore digital methodologies, including multispectral imaging and TEI-XMLencoding.
This summer school is designed for researchers currently pursuing an MA, PhD, or equivalent postgraduate degree specializing in Medieval or Classical Studies.
If you have an interest in deepening your expertise in traditional Latin palaeography and codicology, as well as acquiring practical experience with advanced digital technologies relevant to these fields, we warmly encourage you to apply.
