Research

Zeynep Anli is a researcher at the Centre for Science and Technology Studies (CWTS), where she mainly works on Leiden Ranking database and various European projects on research assessment, open science, organizational research, bibliometric data, gender analysis and data curation. She has worked for projects such as RISIS, KIGS, U-Multirank, KNOWMAK, STI-ENID, PathOS, GraspOS and has ongoing coordination responsibilities for the focal research areas within the Knowledge Agenda of CWTS.

In addition to her work at CWTS, she has a PhD project in the field of literature, feminist theory and gender studies at Leiden University Centre for the Arts in Society (LUCAS). In her dissertation, she studies the connections between a selection of all-female utopian/dystopian novels from the Middle Ages until the 21st century, and how their cycle of narrative patterns and the recovery of history interact with relevant literary theories of their time.

Prior to her work at Leiden University, she gathered experience as a university language instructor (as well as curriculum planning, testing & evaluation, and level coordination), lecturer and translator/editor for around 10 years.
