Yusra Abdullahi is a PhD Candidate researching the roles Ghanaian, Zimbabwean, and Rwenzururian activists played at the United Nations.
Research
Prior to earning her MA in African Studies at Leiden University, Yusra graduated from SOAS with a BA in Politics. Her research interests include the politics and diplomatic history of numerous African states. Yusra is presently conducting research on the role activists from Ghana, Zimbabwe, and Uganda played in establishing the current world order.
Curriculum vitae
Yusra Abdullahi has extensive experience in the areas of human rights and international development. She has worked, among others, in Ethiopia, Somalia, Kenya, and Uganda, where she used her regional expertise to advise (inter)national NGOs, UN agencies, embassies, and think tanks on issues relating to the intersecting realms of conflict transformation, gender, and migration.
