Short CV
Wolfgang Steinel graduated from Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany, and received his PhD from the University of Amsterdam, for his dissertation on misleading in social decision making. Wolfgang Steinel is working as lecturer and researcher at Leiden University.
He is a member of the Society for Personality and Social Psychology, SPSP, the European Association of Social Psychology, EASP, the Kurt Lewin Institute, KLI, the Dutch Association of Researchers in Social Psychology, ASPO, and a board member of the International Association for Conflict Management, IACM.
Research
His research interests include the interplay between motivational and strategic determinants of ethical decision making and conflict and negotiation between individuals and between and within groups.
Teaching
Wolfgang Steinel coordinates the courses 'Negotiation and Social Decision Making' in the Master Programme Social and Organisational Psychology and 'Cooperation, Conflict and Negotiation' at Leiden University The Hague, and supervises Bachelor- and Master Theses.
