Our research aims to understand the ecological value of cell wall-deficiency in actinobacteria. We will investigate the interaction of (wall-deficient) actinobacteria with other soil organisms, like bacteriophages and fungi. This project will lead to more insight in the crucial ecological benefits and disadvantages of cell wall-deficiency.
