Toghrul Guluzada is connected to the Institute of Private Law at the Leiden Law School as a PhD Candidate since 1 June 2022. Title of the PhD Research: Reflective Loss of Shareholders in Company and International Investment Law.
Education:
Toghrul Guluzada has joined the Institute of Private Law, Department of Company Law at the Leiden Law School as a PhD Candidate since 1 June 2022. He holds a Master of Laws (LL.M) in International Business Law from Ghent University (Belgium), a Master of Laws (LL.M) in International Commercial Law from Riga Graduate School of Law (Latvia), a Certificate in International Commercial Arbitration from The German Arbitration Academy (Germany) and a Certificate in Contract law from Harvard Law School. Also, he holds Bachelor of Laws (LL. B) in Legal Sciences from Baku State University and Bachelor of Business Administration in Social Sciences from Riga Technical University (Latvia).
Career and educational activities:
Toghrul Guluzada held positions as Senior Associate at Baku Law Centre (BHM), as Legal Manager at Formula 1 Azerbaijan and Head of Legal Department at Agro Procurement and Supply OJSC under the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Currently, he is Head of Legal Department at Azerbaijan Industrial Corporation.
At the same time, he is an Attorney at Law (Member) at Azerbaijani Bar Association practicing in Commercial, Investment and Business Law.
Besides, he is an Arbitrator at London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA) and a Member of ICC (International Chamber of Commerce) Commissions in Arbitration and ADR, Competition Law, Commercial Law and Practice, Trade and Investment Policy.
In addition to all these, he is an Adjunct Lecturer in Company law, International Commercial and Business Law, Private International Law and International Arbitration Law both at ADA University and Azerbaijan Oil and Industry University.
His research areas are included but not limited to corporate law, investment law, commercial and business law, contract law, arbitration and private international law.
