Tiffany Bousard is a PhD-candidate at the Leiden University Institute for History. She analyses the reflection of the Atlantic World in different media in the Habsburg Netherlands, which were and continued to be an important news centre in Europe during and after the Thirty Years’ War. Her research is part of prof. Michiel van Groesen’s NWO project Covering the Ocean - Newspapers and Information Management in the Atlantic World, 1580-1820.
