Responsibilities
1. Information management for Leiden Law School:
- developing IT policy in collaboration with Central IM Services;
- preparing, assessing, prioritising and approving IT projects to be implemented centrally;
- providing IT advice;
- communicating with all IT stakeholders and aligning supplier offerings with the faculty's requirements;
- initiating IT projects.
2. Local Information Security Office (LISO):
- increasing security awareness among staff and students;
- incorporating security by design into IT solutions;
- checking the security of IT solutions deployed and recording this in central systems;
- documenting unique IT applications created for the faculty and (cloud) applications purchased by the faculty.
3. Functional IT management (in collaboration with Jan van der Star and Thom Blonk):
- handling requests for IT resources;
- advising on IT resources;
- issuing and collecting IT resources (laptops, phones, iPads, etc.);
- managing and administering IT equipment;
- increasing employees' security awareness;
- passing on costs.
4. Privacy and data management coordination:
- drawing up DMPs and DPIAs for the Ethics and Data Committee;
- issuing data breach notifications;
- handling general privacy and data management issues (the latter in collaboration with the Data Steward).
5. Knowledge security:
- faculty inventorisation;
- translating university policy into the situation at the faculty.
6. Digital data archiving for Leiden Law School (in collaboration with Documentary Information and Archiving (DIA):
- improving the digital data archiving process on a project level;
- creating awareness of the archiving regulations.
