Short bio

Suzan’s research is focused on the history of integration policies in the Netherlands since 1945. Her research fits within the larger NWO/NWA-funded project Dilemmas of Doing Diversity which examines how diversity policies are shaped, implemented, and put into practice. Suzan holds a Master of Arts in History with a specialization in Governance of Migration and Diversity. Her research takes a historical approach interrogating how integration policies have been shaped by colonial legacies and capitalist ideals. By doing this she seeks to deepen our understanding of the classed, racialized and gendered dimensions of integration paradigms.
