Dr. Sarah Carthy is an assistant professor in terrorism an political violence at the Institute of Security and Global Affairs. She is a graduate of the University of Galway where she completed her BA and PhD in Psychology. Her research mainly focuses on radicalization, evidence-based approaches to prevention and understanding non-involvement in terrorist violence. As part of her project on preventing and measuring radicalization, Sarah Carthy is leading a team synthesizing evidence on psychometric measures of extremism and school-based radicalization-prevention interventions.
