Working title: 'Visible: Discovering the Impact of Research Conducted by Universities of Applied Sciences'. Graduation date: 21 February 2025.
Societal Impact is the (prime) goal of research done by Universities of Applied Sciences (UAS’s). In its publication “Onderzoek met Impact” the Vereniging Hogescholen(VH) clearly outlined the goal of making an impact on society by concentrating UAS research in 10 domains. The VH’s Branchprotocol Kwaliteitszorg Onderzoek included some indicators that can assist in the evaluation of Societal Impact but does not provide the robust meaningful indicators that would give a clear evaluation of how this research is impacting society. Using the current research available, the results of this proposed research will construct a new model/framework specifically for applied research whereby UAS’s can evaluate how they are impacting society and meeting their goals.
