Rayyan Toutounji (also written as Tutunji), is psychologist and cognitive neuroscientist specializing in stress-related disorders such as depression and burnout. He has previously worked at the Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition, and Behaviour where he investigated how neural responses to stress are linked to real-life responses to stress. He additionally worked as a postdoc at the Radboudumc investigating memory bias dynamics in depression in real-life and their neural underpinnings. Currently, Rayyan works as a postdoc on the WARN-D study, with the aim of building machine learning models that leverage smartphone and smartwatch data for the prediction of depression in daily life. His interests primarily lie in real-life assessment, and building bridges between lab work and real-life measurement.
