Quintijn Mauer is an Assistant Professor for the department Legal History at the Institute for the Interdisciplinary Study of the Law.
Curriculum Vitae
Q. (Quintijn) Mauer (1989) studied Classics at Radboud University Nijmegen, where he obtained his degree (MA) cum laude. He finished his upper secondary teaching qualification at the University of Amsterdam (MA) and he studied Law at the University of Vienna (LLM mit Auszeichnung bestanden). He obtained his doctorate (PhD) in 2022 with his dissertation Application, Adaptation and Rejection the strategies of Roman jurists in responsa concerning Greek documents.
Research
His research concerns both topics within the field of Classical Roman law and (the History of) Canon law. Quintijn Mauer also publishes articles in the field of juristic papyrology.
