Philipp Kropf is a PhD researcher on Ecotoxicology at CML since November 2023.
Professional experience
Philipp Kropf received his BSc Biology and a MSc Molecular Ecology at the University in Bayreuth in which he gained a deeper interest on computational ecology and toxicology. As his master project he developed a machine learning program that automatically analyses sub lethal effects in images of Daphnia ssp., which streamlines analysis and allows researchers to use more data.
Research topic
His research tries to understand the ecotoxicological impact of chemicals on biodiversity and ecosystem services. One aim is to build predictive models on ecosystem services, taking into account diversity and species loss.
