Drs. P.I. Nieuwenhuizen (1962) is a PhD researcher in the field of history of the early-modern Dutch book and the history of book printing and publishing. He studied Dutch Language & Culture at the Utrecht University, after a career in (bio)chemistry and information management. His Bachelor thesis (2014) dealt with the Dutch writer-diplomat F. Springer (Carel Jan Schneider) and his fascination for Multatuli. His Master thesis (2017) dealt with the distribution dynamics of anonymous pamphlets printed around the Fall of Antwerp (1585). For this thesis he was rewarded with an Honorable Mention at the Utrecht University Vliegenthart Thesis Award 2017.
