More information about Peiyan Qin

Professional experience

Peiyan Qin graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from Northwest A&F University in 2021. In his undergraduate thesis, he investigated the effects of conventional petroleum-based microplastics on the ecological characteristics and functions of bacterial communities in various soil ecosystems. In 2024, he obtained a Master of Science degree in Microbiology from the same university. During his master's studies, he researched the impact of microplastics under salt stress on plant growth and rhizosphere microbial communities, as well as their influence on soil priming effects and carbon turnover processes.

Research topic

Peiyan's research topic is on the impacts of nano- and microplatics on plant-soil-microbe interactions in terrestrial agroecosystems.
