Öykü Kurtpınar is a Ph.D. candidate at the Institute of Air and Space Law, Leiden University. Research Title: Innovative Air Mobility.
Öykü Kurtpınar holds a Master’s degree in Law from Leiden Law School, where she completed an Advanced Master’s program in Law and Digital Technologies in 2023 (cum laude) as an awardee of the Jean Monnet Scholarship. Previously, she did her Bachelor’s degree in law in Bilkent University in Ankara (summa cum laude).
She was awarded the “Westin Scholar Award” by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) for her master’s thesis about the drone use of law enforcement in the EU and its impacts on the right to privacy.
