Sze Hong Lam has been an internal PhD candidate at the Grotius Centre of International Legal Studies of the Leiden University since August 2021. He had formerly interned at the Legal Office of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) and the Office of the Prosecutor of the United Nations International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals (IRMCT). He has written in the areas of international humanitarian law, international human rights law, international criminal law, and the right to self-determination. His research focuses on the history of international law and territorial autonomies in the context of territorial readjustments.
